Japanese whetstones
Whetstone, sharpening steel, knife sharpener, honing leather - With proper care, you will enjoy your knives for a lifetime. Proper sharpening and suitable storage are particularly important for maintaining sharpness.
Both Japanese knives and knives from Solingen are best kept sharp with a whetstone. Conventional whetstones are the traditional and inexpensive alternative to diamond whetstones.
