Diamond Leather Unlimited – Replacement Leather 40 × 320 mm (3 µm)
With the original Schmiedeglut replacement leather, your Diamond Leather Unlimited regains its finest polish. After treatment with Schmiedeglut Diamond Polishing Paste 3 µm (Item No. 1002748), the leather is perfect for the final finish and a mirror-polished, razor-sharp edge. Thanks to the pre-mounted adhesive surface, you can replace the leather quickly and easily.
Replacing the Leather Plate
- Carefully peel off the old leather plate, starting at one corner. If necessary, gently warm the adhesive surface with a hair dryer.
- Completely remove any adhesive residue and clean the mounting surface.
- Peel off the protective paper from the new leather plate.
- Align the leather plate precisely, apply it evenly, and then press it firmly into place.
- Apply a thin, even layer of the provided diamond paste to the leather surface and let the paste soak in for a few minutes. If necessary, you can lightly spread or remove any excess paste. Only then is the leather plate ready for use.
Tip: For optimal adhesion, the bonding surface and surrounding area should be clean, dry, and dust-free. Room temperature (approx. 20–25 °C) is ideal for application.
