The 1.2363 (X100CrMoV5, AISI A2) is an air-hardening cold-work tool steel with high toughness and good wear resistance. This combination makes it a robust knife steel for toughness-oriented blades. The dimensions of this cut are 5,3 mm thickness / 40 mm width / 600 mm length.

Hardening
Hardening: protect the surface against decarburisation / austenitise at approx. 950-980 °C / air hardening possible (oil also suitable). Temper according to the desired hardness; common working hardness approx. 58-60 HRC. Please verify the exact heat treatment before use.
